Members have to be able to pay, always.
An advisor brought us a large franchisee of a national fitness chain. The requirement was one sentence long: members have to be able to pay, always. A location that can't run a credit card is a location where people work out for free.
There was no clever engineering in this one. Every site got a wireless router and a 1Gb data plan per site (pooled for 250Gb total across all sites) — enough to keep payments, scheduling, and the cloud apps alive when the primary line drops, period.
What the customer actually bought was the rollout.
Two hundred and fifty locations, handled end to end.

Keeps credit cards, scheduling and cloud app up and running during a primary internet outage

The size of a deal is the footprint, not the complexity.

One router and a 1Gb data plan per site (pooled for 250Gb total across all sites). This way if any site had an outage lasting multiple days and their data exceeded 1Gb, they are covered.

Roughly $6,000 a month in service, about $1,200 of it to the advisor every month the account stays live
